Welcome back! In this weeks “Style of the Week” bi-weekly series, we will be looking at mesh clothing. I don’t know about you guys, but I have a ton of sheer and mesh clothing in my closest. It feels great on the skin, unless you get caught on something like a nail, but let’s remain positive. The mesh material works wonders in the blazing heat, as it keeps you fresh and cool. Here are a few items that fit into the mesh clothing trend.
I wanted to include this dress in the 10 Must-Have Party Dresses under $50, but it didn’t make the final draft. Now, of course, you couldn’t have expected me not to share it with you all. By now, you should have realized that I’m far from selfish. This Asos one shoulder mesh dress is the perfect dress for women of all ages.
Pis from Fwrd.com
You guys know how I feel about the Self- Portrait brand from a few of my previous posts. Ever since my “Style of the Week – Lace” post from two weeks ago, I haven’t gotten them off my mind. This top consists of both lace and sheer. I love this! I wish it came in other colors because I would slay the hell out of this too in the black color!
Norma Kamali Tara Dress – $185
The more and more I see Norma Kamali designs, the more in love I become. This designer is someone to keep both of your eyes on. All of her designs are worth mentioning, and she offers her items at a reasonable price.
Ego Official Mesh Socks – $7.99
Whether you purchase these mesh socks from Ego Official or elsewhere, this is a trend worth participating in. Pairing sheer socks with sandals or pumps is the best way to spice up a basic outfit. You can wear a simple all-black outfit with a pair of black pumps, and with these on your feet will change your entire look.
Summer is here, and it’s time for you to get your sexy on! I have provided quite a few items that can be worn as a cover-up, and this is another. I had to include this knit maxi skirt on this list. On Wednesday, I will be launching the next Color of the Month post for July. The color will be white. I could’ve saved this skirt for that post, but honestly, I couldn’t wait.
Pretty Little Thing Mesh Bodysuit – $19 + Leggings – $17
This item should have been on My Wishlist because I’ve wanted this two-piece set since March, ever since I first saw it when COVID-19 began running ramped. I love bodysuits and catsuits and this one did not let me down. Pretty Little Thing always comes through with the perfect trendy outfits.
Fendi Forever Tights – $350
You can never go wrong with designer tights. If you’re looking for some sheer or mesh clothing, tights are the easiest way to go. A designer pair of tights easily takes your outfit to the next level.
Lise Charmel Chemise – $196
I knew I wanted to include lingerie in this mesh clothing list, but wow! I love this! This is not your typical lingerie, and I think that’s why I like it so much. This babydoll piece is made in Bulgaria. I like that the top is a solid black color, and the bottom is mesh.
Fe Noel Genome Hoodie Robe – $248
This brand definitely deserves it’s own Fashion Recommendations post, and one will follow. In the meantime, this ‘robe’ is worth mentioning on this list of mesh clothing. I want this item for myself. And due to its uniqueness, it is most definitely worth the price. I love the pants too, but they are no longer for sale on their website.
Saint Laurent Ruffled Blouse – $1,650
You know how I feel about luxury designer items, so I had to include a luxe designer for my Luxe Ladies. This Saint Laurent Blouse is from the Spring 2020 collection. I love anything with a turtleneck, and ruffles always makes everything look classy.
Fashion Nova Filled Desires Mesh Romper – $34.99
A lot of people don’t own rompers because this is a style from decades ago. But, they didn’t look like this! I’m glad rompers are still going strong because this is too cute. You can wear this as a regular romper or wear it as a swimsuit cover-up. Either way, this is a great summertime piece.
Self-Portrait Lilliana Dress – $430

Here’s goes Self Portrait again. After this post, I’ll give you guys a break from them. But, I just can’t help myself. They keep providing us with great designs.
I wanted to include an article of mesh clothing that was a little more on the casual and sporty side. This mesh top reminds me of one I used to sell at my online boutique (which is now closed). You can wear this as a regular top or as a cover-up, which is how I’d wear it.
As always, thanks for reading, and be sure to share, like, and comment on this post! Let me know how you feel about this list or if you’ve found some items that should be added!
~ Sincerely, Brooke Madison
